from Jesus Christ, the true witness, the first to come back from

I,
John, your brother, who have a part with you in the trouble and

|
I
was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and a great voice at my back,
as of a horn, came to my ears,
|
| 11.
|
Saying,
What you see, put in a book, and send it to the seven churches;
to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamos and to Thyatira and to
Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.
|
| 12. |
And
turning to see the voice which said these words to me, I saw seven
gold vessels with lights burning in them;
|
| 13. |
And
in the middle of them one like a son of man, clothed with a robe
down to his feet, and with a band of gold round his breasts.
|
| 14. |
And
his head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and
his eyes were as a flame of fire;
|
| 15. |
And
his feet like polished brass, as if it had been burned in a fire;
and his voice was as the sound of great waters.
|
| 16. |
And
he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth came
a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining in
its strength.
|
| 17. |
And
when I saw him, I went down on my face at his feet as one dead.
And he put his right hand on me, saying, Have no fear; I am the
first and the last and the Living one;
|
| 18. |
And
I was dead, and see, I am living for ever, and I have the keys of
death and of Hell.
|

Put
in writing, then, the things which you have seen, and the things
which are, and the things which will be after these;
|

The
secret of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and of
the seven gold vessels with burning lights. The seven stars are

churches.

his head and hairs white, as if white wool -- as snow, and his eyes
as a flame of fire;
|

and
his feet like to fine brass, as in a furnace having been fired,
and his voice as a sound of many waters,
|
| 16. |
and
having in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth a sharp
two-edged sword is proceeding, and his countenance is as
the sun shining in its might.
|
| 17. |
And
when I saw him, I did fall at his feet as dead, and he placed his
right hand upon me, saying to me, 'Be not afraid; I am the First
and the Last,
|
| 18. |
and
he who is living, and I did become dead, and, lo, I am living to
the ages of the ages. Amen! and I have the keys of the hades and
of the death.

'Write
the things that thou hast seen, and the things that are, and the
things that are about to come after these things;
|
| 20. |
the
secret of the seven stars that thou hast seen upon my right hand,
and the seven golden lamp-stands: the seven stars are messengers
of the seven assemblies, and the seven lamp-stands that thou hast
seen are seven assemblies.

The
Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to make known
to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass: and
signified, sending by his angel to his servant John,
|
| 2.
|
Who
hath given testimony to the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus
Christ, what things soever he hath seen.
|
| 3.
|
Blessed
is he, that readeth and heareth the words of this prophecy; and
keepeth those things which are written in it; for the time is at
hand.

John
to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace
from him that is, and that was, and that is to come, and from the
seven spirits which are before his throne,
|
| 5.
|
And
from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten
of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath
loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
|
| 6.
|
And
hath made us a kingdom, and priests to God and his Father, to him
be glory and empire for ever and ever. Amen.
|
| 7.
|
Behold,
he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they
also that pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall bewail
themselves because of him. Even so. Amen.
|
| 8.
|
I
am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord God,
who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
|
| 9.
|
I
John, your brother and your partner in tribulation, and in the kingdom,
and patience in Christ Jesus, was in the island, which is called
Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.
|
| 10.
|
I
was in the spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great
voice, as of a trumpet,
|
| 11.
|
Saying:
What thou seest, write in a book, and send to the seven churches
which are in Asia, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamus, and
to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
|
| 12. |
And
I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned,
I saw seven golden candlesticks:
|
| 13. |
And
in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, one like to the Son
of man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girt about
the paps with a golden girdle.
|
| 14. |
And
his head and his hairs were white, as white wool, and as snow, and
his eyes were as a flame of fire,
|
| 15. |
And
his feet like unto fine brass, as in a burning furnace. And his
voice as the sound of many waters.
|
| 16. |
And
he had in his right hand seven stars. And from his mouth came out
a sharp two edged sword: and his face was as the sun shineth in
his power.
|
| 17. |
And
when I had seen him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his
right hand upon me, saying: Fear not. I am the First and the Last,
|
| 18. |
And
alive, and was dead, and behold I am living for ever and ever, and
have the keys of death and of hell.
|
| 19. |
Write
therefore the things which thou hast seen, and which are, and which
must be done hereafter.
|
| 20. |
The
mystery of the seven stars, which thou sawest in my right hand,
and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels
of the seven churches. And the seven candlesticks are the seven
churches.

The
word of Jehovah that came unto Hosea the son of Beeri, in the days
of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the
days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel. |
| 2.
|
When
Jehovah spake at the first by Hosea, Jehovah said unto Hosea, Go,
take unto thee a wife of whoredom and children of whoredom; for
the land doth commit great whoredom, departing from Jehovah.
|
| 3.
|
So
he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived,
and bare him a son. |
| 4.
|
And
Jehovah said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while,
and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and
will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease. |
| 5.
|
And
it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of
Israel in the valley of Jezreel. |
| 6.
|
And
she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And Jehovah said
unto him, Call her name Lo-ruhamah; for I will no more have mercy
upon the house of Israel, that I should in any wise pardon them.
|
| 7.
|
But
I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by
Jehovah their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword,
nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen. |
| 8.
|
Now
when she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
|
| 9.
|
And
Jehovah said, Call his name Lo-ammi; for ye are not my people,
and I will not be your God. |
| 10.
|
Yet
the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the
sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to
pass that, in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not
my people, it shall be said unto them, Ye are the sons of
the living God. |
| 11.
|
And
the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered
together, and they shall appoint themselves one head, and shall
go up from the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

The
word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the
son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the
days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah. |
| 2.
|
I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD. |
| 3.
|
I
will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven,
and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked:
and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD. |
| 4.
|
I
will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants
of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place,
and the name of the Chemarims with the priests; |
| 5.
|
And
them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them
that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham; |
| 6.
|
And
them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not
sought the LORD, nor enquired for him. |
| 7.
|
Hold
thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD
is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid
his guests. |
| 8.
|
And
it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I
will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as
are clothed with strange apparel. |
| 9.
|
In
the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold,
which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit. |
| 10.
|
And
it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall
be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the
second, and a great crashing from the hills. |
| 11.
|
Howl,
ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down;
all they that bear silver are cut off. |
| 12. |
And
it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem
with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees:
that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will
he do evil. |
| 13. |
Therefore
their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation:
they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall
plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof. |
| 14. |
The
great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly,
even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry
there bitterly. |
| 15. |
That
day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness
and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds
and thick darkness, |
| 16. |
A
day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against
the high towers. |
| 17. |
And
I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind
men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood
shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. |
| 18. |
Neither
their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the
day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by
the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance
of all them that dwell in the land. |
